Department of Physiotherapy and Sports Science Emerges Winner of FAHS Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology successfully organized an Inter-departmental Quiz Competition on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Boadi Medical Enclave as part of activities marking the University’s 75th Anniversary celebrations.
The intellectually stimulating competition brought together students from various departments within the Faculty to test their knowledge in areas including the History of KNUST, About Kwame Nkrumah, and Current Affairs. The four-round contest showcased academic excellence, teamwork, and healthy competition among participating departments.
At the end of the competition, the Department of Physiotherapy and Sports Science emerged as the overall winner after an impressive performance throughout the contest. The Department of Medical Imaging secured the second position, while the Department of Medical Diagnostics placed third.
The winning departments were as follows:
1st Place – Department of Physiotherapy and Sports Science
2nd Place – Department of Medical Imaging
3rd Place – Department of Medical Diagnostics

Participants from the Department of Physiotherapy and Sports Science included Buabeng Stephen Antwi, Kumi Richard, and Gbeblewu Courage Godson. Representing the Department of Medical Imaging were Enning Wisdom Kwabena, Eric Nana Kusi, and Duah Agyemang Christabel Junior. The Department of Medical Diagnostics was represented by Prince Owusu Afriyie, Elvis Kwabena Danquah, and Amoakoh Godfred.
The event formed part of the Faculty’s contribution to the University’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, aimed at promoting intellectual engagement, institutional pride, and student collaboration across departments.
The Faculty commended all participating departments and contestants for their enthusiasm, preparation, and display of academic excellence, while encouraging students to continue upholding the values and legacy of KNUST.
