The College Of Health Sciences ushers in the New Year with a Thanksgiving and Devotion Service
The College of Health Sciences (CHS) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) began the new academic year on January 6th, 2025, with a spirited Thanksgiving and Devotion Service. The event, filled with songs of praise and gratitude to God, celebrated the College's progress and achievements over the past year.
Moderated by Prof. Rev. Charles Ansah, the programme opened with a prayer for divine guidance as the academic year commenced. In his remarks, Prof. Ansah reflected on the College’s successes and positive developments, attributing them to God’s grace. He expressed sincere appreciation to all members of the College for their dedicated contributions, acknowledging that the College’s growth and achievements were the result of their collective efforts.
The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Christian Agyare, also addressed the gathering, offering heartfelt thanks to the staff for their crucial roles in the College's success. He took the opportunity to warmly welcome newly appointed faculty members, assuring them that their concerns would be addressed by their respective Heads of Departments (HODs) and Deans. Professor Agyare also emphasized that his doors would always be open to support them.
During the event, the College of Health Sciences KNUST recognized the staff who retired last year for their remarkable long service rendered to the University.
The event concluded on a joyous note, as attendees expressed their gratitude through dancing to chorales and uplifting tunes, celebrating the year ahead. The atmosphere was one of unity, joy, and thanksgiving, marking the beginning of another promising year for the College of Health Sciences.
With optimism and a renewed sense of purpose, the College looks forward to another year of excellence in education, research, and community service.
