End of Year Message from Prof. Christian Agyare, Provost of KNUST College of Health Sciences
Dear Colleagues,
As we celebrate the Christmas season, I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to every member of the College of Health Sciences for your dedication and hard work throughout the year. Your collective efforts continue to position the College as a top-notch centre for professional and entrepreneurial training in health sciences, collaborative research, community and industrial support, enhanced linkages, and the encouragement of business innovations—all contributing to effective healthcare delivery in Ghana and the attainment of globally relevant goals.
This year, we achieved a major milestone by extending unrestricted access to our E-Library resources and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to tutors and students of affiliated Ministry of Health (MoH) Training Institutions. This important digital-access reform advances equity, modernises health training, and strengthens health education delivery across Ghana.
In addition, the College successfully organised the 11th Biennial Scientific Conference, bringing together distinguished minds from academia, research, government, and healthcare practice. A key outcome was the adoption of a communiqué on “The Importance of Quality in Healthcare Delivery in Ghana,” reinforcing our commitment to excellence in health systems.
The College proudly graduated 1,711 undergraduate students. These graduates represent the fruits of your tireless efforts, and we are immensely proud of their accomplishments and the positive impact they will make in their respective fields.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to host the 3rd Postgraduate Conference, which will provide a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and showcase the innovative research of our postgraduate students, further strengthening KNUST’s position as a hub for cutting-edge health sciences research.
As we enter the new year, I encourage us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do. The achievements of 2025 are only the beginning, and I am excited about what lies ahead. Together, we will continue to build on our strong foundation, advancing healthcare education, research, and practice for the betterment of society.
Thank you once again for your dedication, hard work, and continued support. I wish you all a joyful, restful holiday season and a prosperous 2026.
Warm regards,
Professor Christian Agyare
