As part of the ongoing academic and research collaboration between the University of Huddersfield (UK) and the College of Health Sciences (CHS), KNUST, Mr. Precious Adade Duodu, Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, and Mr. Joshua Okyere, a Postgraduate Researcher—both from the University of Huddersfield—paid a courtesy visit to the Provost of CHS, Professor Christian Agyare.

The visit was an appreciation gesture following a successful research dissemination workshop held in Kumasi. The workshop focused on two major health concerns: dementia and diabetes. It also aimed to co-create practical, evidence-based solutions to these pressing public health challenges.

The Provost, Professor Christian Agyare, had earlier participated in the workshop and delivered the welcome address, demonstrating the College's strong support for impactful collaborative research. During the follow-up visit, the Huddersfield team presented the Provost with a citation of honour, expressing their heartfelt appreciation for his continuous support and leadership.

In his remarks, Professor Agyare warmly welcomed the team and conveyed his gratitude for their dedication to the collaborative projects. He commended the ongoing research on dementia and diabetes and emphasised the importance of such international academic partnerships in advancing healthcare outcomes. He also expressed his enthusiasm for the possibility of expanding the scope of research to include other disciplines, such as Physiotherapy, in future collaborations.

This visit further strengthened the bond between the two institutions and reaffirmed their shared commitment to innovative, solution-oriented health research that addresses local and global challenges.
