The College of Health Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) celebrated the opening of a new account office at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences in Boadi. This new facility aims to make financial services more accessible for students and staff. The official opening of the office took place on May 13, 2024.

During a brief ceremony to inaugurate the space, Professor Christian Agyare, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, delivered a warm welcome address. He expressed his excitement about the new office and its benefits for the faculty and students.

Dr. Charles Nsiah, the Finance Officer for KNUST and the immediate past Finance Officer of the College of Health Sciences explained the reason for the new account’s office. He highlighted the growth of the Boadi campus, which now accommodates the School of Dentistry, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and the School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Nsiah emphasized that the new office would greatly reduce the stress for students and staff who previously had to go to the main campus for financial matters. “With this new office, financial services are now conveniently located right at their doorstep”, he added.

The Finance Officer Dr. Charles Nsiah, along with the Deans of the various schools and the Provost of the College, Prof Christian Agyare officially opened the new accounts office. The new facility includes two separate offices which is equipped with three desktop computers, air conditioners, furniture, fridges among others. This new office space is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and convenience of financial services for all students and staff at the College of Health Sciences, KNUST.
