As part of activities marking the 75th Anniversary of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the School of Nursing and Midwifery of the College of Health Sciences organized an Inter-Class Quiz Competition on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Boadi Medical Enclave.

The intellectually stimulating event brought together students from various classes within the School to test their knowledge and celebrate the University's rich history and legacy. The competition formed part of the School’s contribution to the KNUST@75 celebrations, aimed at promoting academic engagement, teamwork, and institutional pride among students.

The contest featured questions on the History of KNUST, the life and achievements of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President and the University's namesake, as well as current affairs. Participants demonstrated impressive knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a deep appreciation of the University's heritage throughout the competition.

After several rounds of keenly contested questions, Nursing Year 4 emerged as champions, displaying exceptional teamwork and mastery of the topics. Nursing Year 2 secured second place, while Emergency Nursing Year 4 finished in third position. Midwifery Year 1 placed fourth after a commendable performance.

Speaking after the competition, organizers commended all participating teams for their dedication and preparation. They emphasized the importance of such academic activities in nurturing well-rounded healthcare professionals who are knowledgeable not only in their disciplines but also in the history and values of the institution.
