The Provost of the College of Health Sciences KNUST (CHS), Professor Christian Agyare on the 16th of February 2023 inspected the progress of the installation of ultra-modern audiovisual equipment in the lecture rooms at the Boadi Medical Enclave and the New Pharmacy Building.

The inspection was done together with the Deans of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the School of Medicine and Dentistry, the School of Veterinary Medicine, and the Vice Dean of the School of Public Health.

Mr. Collins Kyere, the College of Health Sciences ICT Administrator who also doubles as the Project Supervisor took the faculty members through the new equipment installed which includes; advanced sound devices, a digital teaching podium, projectors, extra TV screens, and cameras for live streaming and recording of lectures.

Provost and Deans inspect

The new audiovisual installation project in the various lecture halls is an initiative by the Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson and the University management to improve the quality of teaching and learning experience in KNUST. The initiative also will fulfill the University’s, mission to advance knowledge in Science and Technology by creating an environment for undertaking relevant research, quality teaching, entrepreneurship training, and community engagement.

The Provost of CHS Professor Christian Agyare and the Deans during the inspection seized the opportunity to interact with the students and encouraged them to excel in their course of study. The Provost in his remarks on the progress of the audiovisual installation applauded the Vice-Chancellor and the University management for the initiative and he hinted that the equipment will be ready for use in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.
