Prudential Bank Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to Provost of College of Health Sciences, KNUST
On Tuesday, 13th May 2025, a delegation from Prudential Bank Northern Sector, Ghana, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Christian Agyare, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to congratulate him on being named Academic Pharmacist of the Year at the inaugural Pharma Excellence Awards organized by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.
The eight-member delegation, led by Mr. Jalaludeen Emran Adam, Area Manager for the Aboabo branch of Prudential Bank, commended Professor Agyare on his remarkable achievement, applauding his outstanding contribution to pharmacy education and healthcare delivery in Ghana. He acknowledged the Provost not only as a distinguished academic but also as a visionary entrepreneur through his leadership of Life Chemist Limited, a prominent chain of community pharmacies providing quality healthcare products and services.
He further expressed appreciation for Professor Agyare's commitment to leveraging his academic knowledge for community benefit, adding that Prudential Bank is proud to partner with him in this role.
The visit also allowed the bank to introduce its digital service products designed to support businesses, enterprises, and academic institutions. The team proposed potential collaborations to enhance entrepreneurship and innovation among stakeholders within the College and the wider KNUST community.
In response, Professor Agyare expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit and the kind gestures. He remarked that the recognition as Academic Pharmacist of the Year was a humbling honor and reaffirmed his dedication to advancing pharmaceutical education and healthcare in Ghana and beyond.
