SVM Class of 2016 Has Donated An Autoclave Worth Gh₵ 6650 To Their Alma-Mater

The KNUST School of Veterinary Medicine class of 2016 on the 6th of January,2023 donated an autoclave worth GH₵ 6650 to aid the training of students and also service the KNUST Veterinary Teaching hospital.

The SVM class of 2016 was represented by Dr. Patrick Amponsah and Dr. Dorcas Oyueley Kodie. Speaking on behalf of the class, Dr. Patrick Amponsah stated that they have seen the fast growth of the school and its achievements therefore they want to render their support in the elevation of the KNUST School of Veterinary Medicine with an autoclave which is a medical device used to decontaminate and sterilise surgical tools.

The Dean of SVM, Professor Benjamin O. Emikpe expressed his gratitude to the class of 2016 for their kind donation. He further noted that the support of the alumni has been very instrumental in the growth of the school since its establishment in 2009. He charged all other year groups to be good ambassadors in their field of Veterinary medicine and must always endeavour to give back to the school.

The School of Veterinary Medicine was established to train highly qualified Veterinary surgeons with sufficient clinical and scientific knowledge.
