HESA holds general elections to select new executives
The Health Sciences Students Association (HESA) on the 27th of July 2022 held its general elections to select new executives to steer the affairs of the association for the 2022/2023 academic year.
Preceding Election Day, the Electoral Commission of HESA held moments of vetting and campaigns for aspirants to sell their motives to the students of the College of Health Sciences (CHS).
Paul Mensah-Twumasi, a fourth-year Human Biology student was elected as the new HESA president, edging his opponent with over 1000 votes. Other aspirants winning various positions are Esther Yayra (Doctor of Pharmacy, Year 4), Ellen Domaeko (Doctor of Pharmacy, Year 3), Michael Opoku Agyapong (Bsc Human Biology, Year 3), and Kluivert Owusu Medical Imaging, Year 2). They were elected for the positions of General Secretary, Health Officer, Financial Secretary, and Organising Secretary respectively.
The mandate of the new executives will officially begin after the end of the second-semester examination. The staff and students of the College of Health Sciences congratulate all newly elected executives and wish them the best in their tenure.
