KNUST College of Health Sciences Reaffirms Commitment to Professionalism at Annual Thanksgiving Service i

Staff of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) College of Health Sciences (CHS) have been encouraged to sustain their strong work ethics and professionalism in pursuit of the collective vision and goals of the University.

The call was made at the opening of the College’s Annual Thanksgiving Service, held to usher in the 2026 year. The short but reflective service was moderated by Rev. Prof. Charles Ansah of the Department of Pharmacology, who used the occasion to recount the numerous successes and positive developments recorded by the College over the years. He attributed these achievements to the grace of God and expressed profound gratitude to members of the College for their immense contributions, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

In his remarks, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Christian Agyare, commended staff for their selfless service and tireless efforts, describing them as the key drivers of the College’s continuous growth and progress. He emphasized that the achievements of the College would not have been possible without the collective commitment, professionalism, and teamwork of staff across all units.

Professor Agyare further noted that the 2026 Thanksgiving Service marked his final participation in the programme as Provost of the College. He took the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation to the organising committee, who, he said, had “held the fort” over the past five years by consistently and successfully organising the annual Thanksgiving Service.

As part of the programme, the College of Health Sciences honoured staff who had retired and those who had transferred to other units, in recognition of their dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the growth and success of the College.

The Annual Thanksgiving Service remains a key tradition of the College, providing an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to service, professionalism, and the shared mission of KNUST.
