Human Biology 2 Emerges Victorious in KNUST School of Dentistry Inter-Class Quiz Competition
As part of activities marking the 75th Anniversary Celebrations of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the KNUST School of Dentistry organized an exciting Inter-Class Quiz Competition on 28th May 2026 at the Boadi Medical Enclave.
The event brought together students from five classes within the School of Dentistry—Human Biology 1, Human Biology 2, Human Biology 3, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) 1, and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) 2—in a spirited contest designed to test their knowledge while celebrating the University's rich history and legacy.
The competition focused on three key areas: the History of KNUST, the life and contributions of Ghana’s first President and founder of the University, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and Current Affairs. Contestants demonstrated impressive knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking throughout the highly competitive event.
Representing Human Biology 1 were Ohemeng Darkwa and Maxwell Tawiah. Human Biology 2 was represented by Ernest Ameyaw, Ayisha Ziblim, and Azure Stephen Lincoln, while Human Biology 3 fielded Charles Adu Brako, Osei Kwabena Edusei, and Arnoldina Adikuor Boadu.
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery 1 team comprised Nana Asabere, Gideon Mends, and Ehornam Adase, while the Bachelor of Dental Surgery 2 team was represented by Osei Bonsu Richmond, Telfer Francis Tetteh Jnr, and Nana Ekua Sasu.
After several rounds of intense competition, Human Biology 2 emerged as the overall winner, demonstrating remarkable depth of knowledge and consistency throughout the contest. Human Biology 1 secured second place, while Bachelor of Dental Surgery 2 claimed third position.

The final results were as follows:
1st Place: Human Biology 2
2nd Place: Human Biology 1
3rd Place: Bachelor of Dental Surgery 2
The event formed part of the School of Dentistry’s contribution to the University-wide celebrations commemorating KNUST’s 75 years of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and service to society. Beyond fostering healthy competition, the quiz provided students with an opportunity to deepen their appreciation of the University's history, values, and national significance.
Participants and attendees alike expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, which successfully combined learning with celebration. Organizers commended all contestants for their dedication, preparation, and sportsmanship, noting that the competition reflected the intellectual vibrancy and collaborative spirit that characterize the School of Dentistry.
