College of Health Sciences congratulates Prof. Wonder Kofi Mensah Kofi Abotsi
Prof. Wonder Kofi Mensah Kofi Abotsi of the Department of Pharmacology in the College of Health Sciences, KNUST has been promoted to an Associate Professor.
Prof. Wonder Abotsi holds a B.Pharm (Hons) degree and a PhD (Pharmacology) from Kwame Nkrumah University and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Prof. Wonder Abotsi is a registered Pharmacist and a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGh). With over thirty-eight publications to his credit, Prof Wonder Abotsi also holds membership in the West African Society for Pharmacology (WASP/SOAP), International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN), Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA), American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), and the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research.
His research interest is in the evaluation of novel pharmacological agents, particularly natural products, for the treatment of pain, anxiety, depression, epilepsy, and psychosis.
Prof. Wonder Abotsi has served as the Departmental Examinations Officer from 2012-2019 and is currently the Deputy Faculty Examinations Officer for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
