Lions Club International Donates Books worth 45,000ghc to the KNUST School of Medical Sciences
The Lions Club International in Ghana on the 2nd of May 2024 donated 300 books valued at Forty-five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 45,000) to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Medical Sciences to support the teaching and learning of students.
This gesture is part of their general public service and activities towards their district convention where they will be appointing a district governor and senior executives to govern their affairs for the upcoming year.
The Dean of the School of Medical Sciences, Professor Akwasi Antwi-Kusi thanked the representatives from the Lions Club International for their donation and told them that it was timely and would boost teaching and learning in the School and the College of Health Sciences at large.
Lion Edward Adzimah, the District Global Service Team Coordinator and Lion Baaba Hudson, the District Governor of Lions Club International expressed their gratitude to the KNUST School of Medical Sciences for the warm reception and the prompt response they received when they reached out for the donation. Lion Baaba Hudson added that; they look forward to future encounters, marking the onset of their journey to establish new partnerships with the KNUST School of Medical Sciences.
