In a moment of pride for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Christian Agyare, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), has been named Best Academic Pharmacist of the Year at the Inaugural Pharma Excellence Awards organized by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH). The award acknowledges his exceptional influence in pharmaceutical education, biomedical research, health policy, and mentorship over the past two decades.

A distinguished scholar and accomplished professional in the field of Pharmacy, Professor Agyare has long been regarded as a beacon of excellence in academic and scientific circles. His work has not only advanced pharmaceutical research but also played a key role in shaping future pharmacists through innovative teaching and strong mentorship.

In a symbolic gesture underscoring the collaborative spirit of the University, Professor Agyare, alongside the Registrar, Finance Officer, and the Deans of the various Schools and Faculties within the College of Health Sciences, formally presented the award to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor David Asamoah. During the brief ceremony, he acknowledged the crucial role the University has played in facilitating such a remarkable achievement.
