The Class of 1989 of the KNUST School of Medical Sciences (SMS) has donated physical cash of GH¢65,000 in support of the SMS @50 Legacy Project.

The donation was presented on behalf of the class by Prof. Benjamin Eghan, Prof. Alex Osei Akoto, and Prof. Kwame Owusu Dapaah Afriyie.

The Dean of the School of Medical Sciences, Prof. Akwasi Antwi Kusi, received the cash donation and expressed appreciation to the Class of 1989 for their contribution.

He also encouraged other alumni groups to support the project.

The SMS @50 Legacy Project seeks to improve infrastructure and teaching facilities at the school.

A key focus is the construction of a multi-storey lecture hall complex to enhance medical education and training.

This year marks 50 years since the establishment of the School of Medical Sciences.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the school is calling on all alumni and well-wishers to contribute to the Legacy Project.
