CHS Sets Stage for Grand Inter-School Quiz Following Successful Preliminary Competitions
The College of Health Sciences (CHS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has successfully concluded a series of Inter-Departmental and Class Quiz Competitions across its various Schools and Faculties, paving the way for the highly anticipated Grand College of Health Sciences Inter-School and Faculty Quiz scheduled for Friday, 5th June 2026.
The week-long competitions, organized as part of activities commemorating KNUST's 75th Anniversary, brought together students from diverse academic disciplines to demonstrate their knowledge, critical-thinking abilities, and competitive spirit. The contests were marked by enthusiasm, intellectual engagement, and a strong display of academic excellence.
The quiz series commenced at the School of Public Health, where the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Economics emerged victorious after a keenly contested competition. At the School of Medical Sciences, the Year 2 MBChB Class secured the top position, showcasing exceptional mastery across a range of academic and current affairs topics.
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences saw the Department of Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences claim the ultimate prize, while at the School of Dentistry, the Year 2 Human Biology Class distinguished itself by emerging as champions.
In the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Doctor of Pharmacy Year 1 Class demonstrated remarkable knowledge and teamwork to secure first place. Similarly, Nursing Year 4 emerged as winners at the School of Nursing and Midwifery after an impressive performance throughout the competition.
The School of Veterinary Medicine completed the preliminary round of contests with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Year 5 Class emerging as champions, earning the opportunity to represent their School at the College-level competition.
The winners from the various Schools and Faculties will now converge at the SMS Auditorium, Boadi Medical Enclave, for the Grand College of Health Sciences Inter-School and Faculty Quiz. The event is expected to be a thrilling showcase of academic excellence as the best teams compete for ultimate bragging rights within the College.
